Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS)

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) was established in 1911 as a professional society for the individual with the purpose of education and professional advancement .The majority of PGMS members are institutional grounds managers who work for organizations such as colleges and universities, municipalities, park and recreation facilities, office parks, apartment complexes, hotels/motels, cemeteries, theme parks, etc. In addition, many independent landscape contractors are also in membership. With over 1,200 members worldwide, PGMS's mission is uniting and serving Green Industry professionals and others through education and environmental awareness.

Tennessee Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA)

The Tennessee Nurserymen's Association was founded in 1905 as an organization where nursery and other related industries would have the opportunity to share ideas, further educate and foster research that would benefit owners, employees and consumers throughout its 97 years in Tennessee Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc. Today, TNLA hosts an annual trade show, sponsors seminars, offers scholarships, lobbies Legislative issues and more for its members. Currently, more than 600 companies benefit through TNLA annual memberships. They come from every facet of the industry, from nursery production to landscaping to irrigation and lawn care.

Southern Garden History Society

The Southern Garden History Society was founded in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in may 1982, as an outgrowth of a continuing series of conferences on "Restoring Southern Gardens and Landscapes" held in Old Salem.

The Purpose of the society is to stimulate interest in southern garden and landscape history, in historical horticulture, and in the preservation and restoration of historic gardens and landscapes in the south. Membership is open to anyone interested in the purposes of the society upon receipt of the annual dues.
